Cari and Erin go to London
28 March - 01 April 2003

Either this guy really loves his job....or really hates it.  But getting your picture taken with cute girls all day ain't a bad way to make a living!

At least these guys are allowed to move.
They're Yeoman Warders at the Tower or London, aka Beefeaters.  Quite entertaining fellows.

Tower of London

This is the Tower Bridge
commonly, but also wrongly, referred to as the London Brige (which I learned two minutes ago).

I think this is the view from the top of the bridge (Thames River)

Cari making friends
(hint: this guy is a statue...I'm not normally a jerk to real people)

Erin showing of her photography skillz
"For my next trick I will balance both the water bottle & camera on my head!"
And me showing off my sitting skillz.
No tricks here.

Notice the prime meridian... we were in two diff time zones at the same time.  Crazy!

And finally, the Mounting of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.
Notice the bones are properly in front
with no silly flags to bop them on the head

These ones have guns!

Thats the Palace on the left

New Picture Additions

Erin and I took a ride on the London Eye, a massive ferris wheel made by Brittish Airways.

A day trip to see the Roman Baths...
...and some rocks in a field

Making fun of the local culture... its so little!

However, its quite easy to be hit by the tiny cars if you're looking the wrong way

A picture is worth a thousand words.
Here is Erin taking a picture of the Russell Square subway sign... after we'd already boarded the train, got off at the next stop, climbed up some stairs, climbed down some staris, explained to subway workers that yes, we knew what we were doing, and got on another train heading back to our point of origin.  This would not normally be a big deal, except for the heavy luggage (see next pic).  I hope certain people named Russell are appreciative!

This is said luggage.  See the maroon backpack?  Yeah that ones mine.

Hehehe
