Dear S Evans,
In accordance to the instructions I have been given in the Chain Letter
titled “Will you earn £50,000 in
the next 60 days” I enclose £1 and ask you to put me on your mailing list.
Although I’m not certain what mailing list will be. I thought I was the one
who put your name on those chain letters I may send out.
I have never been one for these
type of Chain Letters before, having had my hopes doused many years ago when I
was about 8 years old. In that situation I was promised postcards from
10,000’s of people from around the world if I copied out a similar list and
forwarded it to 10 friends. Well, having done so I eventually received a lonely
one postcard, perhaps the rest are still in the pipeline.
Well, in theory, this £50,000
in 60 days is feasible, but knowing what folk are like, i.e. just sending out
these letters without forwarding the £1 to the top five names listed, I am
wondering just how successful you have been. At least I have kept my end of the
bargain, but I do ask one favour of you, and enclose an S.A.E. for a reply.
Without going into too much
detail about how much you have received, would you be kind enough to inform me
about whether you personally have found this chain letter to bring in the sort
of monies it promises? This information will determine how much of my own money
I’ll invest in time, stamps and stationary.
Yours sincerely,
Paul K Skelton.
P.S.
I’ll assume that no reply means, “not worth the trouble entering in
this venture.”
