Web site http://geocities.com/photoshows_uk Dear Sir or Madam, I hope you don’t object too much about me sending you this
unsolicited mail. Indeed, this is a chain letter and quite frankly I’d
completely understand if you just threw it in the bin. Hopefully, before you do
you’ll at least read why I have sent it to you. I am very sceptical by nature, especially
when someone tells me of a “get rich quick” scam. I am also a believer in that
the only way one can make money is by at least putting in a reasonable effort.
It is for this reason that I have set up a web site (address as shown above) to
give anyone interested total access to the full implications of getting
involved in this chain letter. If you do have access to the internet,
please feel free to log in at any time. It’ll be updated as and when I receive
or post anything concerning these chain letters and it has been live since 8th
May 2001. There are also the facilities for anyone to post their own comments
or letters for others to read. It is actually a sub-section of my main web site
that advertises horse show-jumping and photographic schedules in the UK. I’m
not selling anything on it; neither does it contain anything you wouldn’t want
teenagers to view. Please feel free to browse. I’ll be quite frank with you regarding this
chain letter. Mathematically speaking, if everyone who received this letter
followed the instructions without deviating and sent out say 10 letters to
other people, and they did the same etc., then “yes” you should get a multitude
of £1 coins sent to you through the post. The more letters you send out to various
folk, the more money you should receive. However, human nature being what it is
tells me that most folk will just throw this chain letter in the bin and
therefore that link of the chain will be broken. Some folk may be interested in
continuing the chain and will send out letters to others, but may just neglect
to send those £1 coins to the addresses on the list, after all, who will know?
Well, I intend to find out just how successful or unsuccessful this “get rich
quick” chain letter is and I’m putting in the work to satisfy my curiosity once
and for all. I would just like to point out that your
name and address has been plucked randomly from a phone book, so I haven’t got
your address from a list that costs £20. I don’t mind investing my own money in
this investigation and I have already sent off my £1 coins to the top 5 folk in
the list, thus keeping my part of the bargain. (You can check if you like, you
have their addresses). I don’t mind paying for printing, stamps and stationery,
but I’m not going to waste money unnecessarily. Hence you name and address was plucked for free. I won’t be contacting you again, unless you
wish me to. You’ll come to no harm by ignoring this chain letter and discarding
it, but neither will you have the chance to be part of my investigation and
perhaps receive those promised £1 coins in you intend to take part. If you do decide to forward this chain
letter, please follow the rules and regulations to the full, and may I suggest
you also include a copy of this letter to folk you pass it onto, so that they
too can follow my success/failure. I may not get rich, (certainly not if
everyone discards the letter), but at least I am putting some effort into what
I do, and making it open to the public. One last thing, if everyone does nothing,
I’ll have nothing to put on the web site, so if it remains empty you’ll know
this is a waste of time. I WILL NOT be making anything up, or fabricating the
truth either, that would just make mockery of the investigation. Thank you for taking the time to read this, Yours sincerely, Paul
Skelton.
