Now in their second year as proud parents, the resident cranes at Okeeheelee Nature Center in West Palm Beach, FL have succeeded in hatching two crane chicks.  After a month of dutiful nest tending by both parents the first chick hatched on March 15.  Staff and volunteers waited eagerly to see if the second egg would hatch.  Trooper and his mate were vigilant in their nest tending and a second chick was spotted on March 17, 2007.
