| -Grille Guard Ok so here's the problem: I'd like a grille guard with a Winch mounting plate, but the only ones with mounting plates that I know of come in black. I'd like to keep this Jeep looking nice, and even though chrome can cause harsh glares when four wheeling, it just looks so nice. Anyway, maybe Jeremy can help me make one... -120v Outlets (Inverter) Sometimes you just need 120v of AC current. -Ford OEM Mirrors My mirrors look great, but with the tinting, it's hard to use them at night. This is a real iffy add on. I might/might not. We'll see. -Front Trailer Hitch (electric?) I like the idea of a trailer hitch on the front for easy backing of a trailer. Don't think I'll need electric, but it could come in handy for other applications. -3rd Brake Light The problem with adding a third brake light is that my system is a two circuit instead of a three circuit system. That means that my brake lights are connected to the same bulb as turn signals. That means my third brake light would flash if my turn signals come on. One way to solve this is to use two bulbs, left and right turn signals, for the third brake light. The left would of course blink with the turn signal while the right stayed on if I were on the brakes, off if no brakes, and likewise with the right side. Both would come on if only the brakes were applied. Still not sure where to mount this. If I install a rear valance, I can simply bolt on a third brake light unit to it. If not, most likely mounting place will be top center of rear windshield, inside. -Roof Rack (with running lights/fogs?) This'll be quite a project if I do it. I want a roof rack you can use, not those little black metal baby cradles they sell at 4X4 stores. You can't put anything in those. I've got a WHOLE roof, why not use the WHOLE thing? It has to be flat on the top. Of course there will be hooks and such for tie downs, as well as mounting brackets for a shovel, etc, possibly some ladder bars for crossing dangerous chasms while wheeling up on Mt. Everest... -Rear Winch I think a winch on the rear would come in handy sometimes. Say you're no good at backing the Jeep to a trailer. Just winch it! You can't always use the front winch. I doubt it'd be good for towing though, which of course would be done with the tow hooks. I'd like this to be mounted in the bumper for a low profile, if possible. (That bumper's getting heavy!) -Front Valance (moonvisor) These just look really cool! I like the ones with the lights across the top. If I can, I'd like to wire the outermost two lioghts (one on left and one on right) to the turn signals and put dual filament bulbs in to use them as turn signal indicators. -Running Lights If I build a roof rack, it'll probably have the running lights installed (see pic), but if not, I still would like to add some. -Brush Guards Just in case... -Cut Out Fenders I've got little fender flares which do a decent job, I just want to raise them to increase the articulation of the Jeep (and to make room for bigger tires). -Swamper Tires The junk yard is a great place isn't it? I can find my wheels there for $13 a piece!!! Once I buy the tires, I throw 'em on my new wheels from the junk yard (that of course match the wheels I now have) put 'em on the Jeep and go four wheeling. When we get back, I throw my street tires back on, which are on seperate/matching rims. Now, all I have to do is save for the tires... |
