The Competition is open to Goan amateur photographers worldwide.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1) The Competition is open to any person but the picture/s must represent anything that is related to Goa and Goans. Only amateur photographers may participate.
2) Deadline date for receiving of Entries: 24th JULY 2002. Posted entries must be
postmarked not later then 19th July 2002.
Each contestant can submit upto 3
entries.
Winners will be notified via e-mail [if the contestant has no email address, please
ensure that a care-of (c/o) email is given,
if possible].
Final Results will also feature in a web-site and will be available for viewing
from August 18th 2001.
The URL of the web-site will be announced at the time of the
declaration of the Final winners.
3) We will accept ONLY un-mounted glossy/matt COLORED POSITIVE PRINTS of size 4 x 6 inches.
(Please do not send slides or negatives.)
All submitted photographs must have the following details lightly written on
the reverse:
Name, Address, E-mail Address,
Caption for the Photograph, Camera and Lens Type.
Film used & Exposure (if recorded).
Signature required, as your acceptance of all rules and regulations.
(Please ensure that you use a suitable non-smudging pen/pencil.)
4) We strongly suggest contestants to send reprints of their originals.
Being a worldwide contest, it is not possible to return photographs through
post, so do not include return envelopes or postage. Please note: We cannot
assume responsibility for lost entries.
5) By entering this competition, you represent that your photos are original and you have all necessary rights, to enter in the Goan International Photography Competition. We reserve the right to publish all winning pictures and details submitted by you (address/e-mail address can be with-held, if requested by the contestant) in the Web site and also published in any media wherein announcements of the Event/Results will be made, including printed media/online media/newspapers/ magazines, etc. Besides the prizes given out, there will not be any further compensation made. We also reserve the right to use any submitted images as we see fit (due credit to the photographer will be given at all times) - in exhibitions and promotions directly related to :

and
GOA DAY INTERNATIONAL
6) Prize Money will be directly send by Check/Draft to the winner via
registered-post. We will not be responsible for any delay or loss in
transit.
7) Besides the Prize money, the first 5 winners will also receive
certificates from Goa's only Photography Academy - Stenodac Academy of
Professional Photography and Digital Imaging.
8) NO entry form is required. Your name and other details behind the photograph are all the information we need.
9) Judging will be based on a point system with consideration to all aesthetic and technical values of the pictures submitted. The Organizing Committee and Judges decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entertained. The organisers reserve the right to change/modify any rules and regulations as may be necessary, at any stage of the competition.
10)The Committee and Judges have the right to reject any entries, without assigning any reasons, whatsoever.
11)Members of the Organising Committee/Judges and their families are NOT allowed to participate in this Competition.
