Beautiful young people are accidents of nature
But beautiful old people are works of art.

My passions

What you'll find on my bookshelf:
Some historic & romance novels, Victoria Holt, Phyllis A Whitney, etc, a few murder/mystery/drama books, Patricia Cornwell, John Grisham, Steven King, etc. I also have books on diving, photography, computers, the internet, genealogy, instant cooking and emergency home repair. Some are: "Diving Guide to Underwater Florida"; "Creative Photography"; "The Internet", "The History of Charlton County", "Do It Yourself Feng Shui", "Estate Planning and Personal Finance for Dummies"; "Home Repair and Improvement"; "Crock-Pot Cooking"; "The Good Herb"; "The Doctor's Vitamin & Mineral Encyclopedia"; and always, "Webster's Dictionary".

My pet peeves are:
Drunk drivers, Rude people and Inconsiderate smokers

In my spare time I like to:
Surf the web for fun stuff to download, genealogy research and chat with special online buddies. I'm also taking a course on computer repair. I love to travel to new and exciting places and revisit old ones. I enjoy sailing, scuba diving, treasure hunting, gold prospecting and genealogy research. My special hobby is photography. At home or on vacation, my camera is always at hand to capture "that Kodak moment".

My dreams and aspirations:
To photograph the world and have a book published.

The one person I'd like to spend an hour with:
My Aunt Carlie Rogers
She knew everybody in the family. She knew who was married to who, who their parents were, who their grandparents were, where they came from, and when, and how we were all related. She had a sharp mind even in advanced years. A wealth of knowledge was lost when she died. I would like to talk to her again and write it all down!

If I had one wish it would be:
A long healthy life and the winning lotto ticket!    :)

The dreams I've realized in my life are:
Emotional and financial security. Now I want to travel.

My future outlook:
I’m now retired! I’m making more plans. There’s so much I want to do and I plan to make time for it all. I want to learn digital photography, underwater photography, and gourmet cooking. I want to go back to college, travel, take more sailing lessons, learn more about computers, ride in a hot air balloon and enjoy life to the fullest. I want to reach for new horizons, travel to other countries, explore the world and experience new things. I’m really excited about the future and all it’s possibilities! I intend to spend time on a sailboat traveling from Maine to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America. I'll be sailing, fishing, scuba diving, swimming and clicking my camera. I want to photograph solitary lighthouses, romantic sunsets, beautiful tropical scenery, white sandy beaches, exotic fragrant flowers, brilliant-hued birds, playful dolphins, colorful living reefs and friendly people. I'll be meeting and making new friends, living, laughing and loving my new life!

Words I live by:
There is a destiny that makes us brothers. None goes his way alone.
All that we send into the lives of others, comes back into our own.
(What goes around, comes around!)

Personal Challenges I face:
Growing old gracefully.
I'm fighting it every step of the way!
A woman needs to make the most of what Mother Nature gives her
Before Father Time takes it away!
