"If you're speeding down the freeway, the police might pull you over. But no one ever makes you take pit stops. You have to choose them. It's the same with life. Emergencies force us to stop, but pit stops of joy are events we plan for and savor." -Sheila Walsh
Banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the troubles of your body. Ecclesiastes 11:10 |

Paul encourages us to do whatever we do with all our hearts. He tells us to put our soul into it. Like the old song says, "You gotta have heart." When you do you can do anything. The busiest days can become our most joyful. -Luci Swindoll
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24 |

I'd like to manufacture adult pacifiers. Picture Peter in the Garden of Gethsemane. Instead of whipping out his sword, Peter would pull out a well-worn pacifier. After several relective pulls on his binkie, he would realize how inappropriate lashing out would be and instead turn to the Lord for direction. -Patsy Clairmont

I found this when I was questioning my road of life and it encouraged me a lot. I hope it can encourage you as well...

My darling daughter-in-love, Shannon, says life is like a dot-to-dot picture. When you begin, you have no idea what your life is going to turn out to be. You start at one dot, and then another dot appears, and, hoping for the best, you jump. -Barbara Johnson
"I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 |

I have been accused of living on a farm. I don't live on a farm. I consider where I live to be, the country. But, when I was younger, or at least high school age, to be classified as a country girl, cow girl, etc, would have bothered me.. but as I've grown up, I've come to truly appreciate the quiet and solice of living in the country. It allows me to leave all the hussle of traffic, the noice of sirens, and go to a place of peace and relaxation..until my mom comes home, but that's another story. :) (love ya mom) I have found that, to find a place of quiet, a place where you are able to just be with yourself and think..or not think...just be, is so important cause life is so freakin' hectic these days. Out here, we have the ability to enjoy the new flowers, the mountain being covered with poppies, playing with the dogs, or the horse grazing in the field. No matter where you live, what you are doing... don't lose yourself in the craziness of day to day stuff... Take time to just be. Those are my thoughts. :) -Kat |
