Friends...
Ok....moving along and the next two friends of mine that grace these pages recently visited me from the UK...Phil and Richard and I must say I had the time of my life while they were here. I seen more of Sydney during the months of October and Novemeber then what I have seen in my lifetime. Far from being the experienced tourist guide I was not sure what to do when they got here but we managed to get around and see things and they both a had a great time while they were here. Both lifestyles differed and it took me a while to get used to the different accents. Even down to the last day I was not sure sometimes what Phil was saying. Richard was easier to understand. On one occasion Phil said some thing and me and my mother just looked at him in shock..but we heard him wrong. More on that later.
Phil...
This is Phil at the Harbour...
Phil is a wonderful guy that I have known for about 18 months now. I will never forget the night I was tryng to get his phone number from International Directories and they could not find it. It Was 11.30pm and I was annoyed because I could not get it. I cannot remember if it was any special occasion or not but I just wanted to say hello. However, as though we were thinking along the same wavelength or some thing to that effect as soon as I hung up the phone rang and one will not guess who was calling me?...That is right...Little Phil...he was calling me as I had given my number to him in a  previous letter. I soon learned that he had good knowledge of Australia and he was telling me where things were...He knew that Broken Hill was on the border or there abouts...That surprised me and it was no surprise really when he came to Sydney a couple months ago out of the blue taking advantage of a discounted flight. He had gone to book a flight to Sydney for Christmas time and the lady told him that she had cheap deals going but he had to leave the next day. That he did and needless to say I got THE call on a Friday morning at work and he was in town...Well I dropped everything and went to pick him up and that was the start of a great two weeks...We covered alot of ground in that two weeks... Travelling is not really new to Phil as he went to Spain in July this year but Australia was the longest trip he had taken. Longer even more so when he arrived on the Thursdays morning at 8.00 am and could not get me on the phone at work and he spends all day walking around the city...mind you he did the Harbour Bridge thing and went to Palm Beach (he is a fan of Home And Away & yes we both went to channel 7) on the day he arrived and checked into the first hotel he came across come night time....Then the Friday morning phone call came to me....I will never forget it. Here's wishing you all the best Phil and hope that you come back here many, many times. We all miss you....mum still loves the plant you gave to her...But most of all, I miss you! See you soon hah....u little Clampet!   (private joke people)...

Love ya!

It was a foggy day compared to other vivits there...but the effect is still there! A very dear friend of mine (my second mum), Julie took us there and she is in one of the photo's with us....
