Connie Francis

Her name alone will/should ring a bell! She was the biggest selling female recording artist of the 50's and 60's with hits such as: Who's Sorry Now, Stupid Cupid, Lipstick On Your Collar and Where The Boys Are...just to name a few of her hit records. With a voice that sounds like no other and will never be matched, Connie Francis has been a survivor. Since her "hey day"...this women has been through such horrifying incidents that even the scrpitwriters of Dallas or Dynasty would not even create. I was very lucky in 1997 when I visited USA that a friend of mine, Mike arranged a phone call between Connie and myself...I will never forget "that" voice coming through the phone to me. She was so friendly and we chatted for several minutes. At the time Connie was in New Jersey and I was in California. Here are a few items from my collection that mean the world to me. Through failed marriages, a rape, her brother's murder, the loss of her voice for four years and mental institutions......She's still here...Connie Francis!

This is an 8 x 10 that I received from Connie back in 1993 when I began corresponding with a business associate of hers in England I had become friends with and have been in touch with ever since. He has helped me alot with item for my collection. I had a gift made for Connie once, a pillow with a transfer of her on it and I sent it to him and he passed/sent it onto her and I received this picture back with a handwritten letter thanking for the (quote) "most beautiful, delicate pillow that you had send to Ron" (end quote). She went on to thank me for my support and told me, (quote) "it's fans like you that make it all worthwhile" (end quote). I have a few handwritten items from Connie from different occasions that may later be featured here, but for now...the above 8 x 10 is fine...
