• I am starting to update this site. Expect to see new content in the coming months.

1/19/04

• Updated links on boating links page.

• I anticipate doing a complete update to this entire site during the cold winter days. I am also trying Mozilla Composer.

• I'm having a strange problem with Geocities Easy Upload inserting strings of letters or sequentially duplicating letters in paragraphs. I thought this was my html editor but it has happened with three different editors.

12/14-22/02

• New images in gallery.

• New content under digital cameras.

• Found that my firewall inserted some java scripts into pages when I downloaded them from the web for maintenance after my disk crash. I am removing them as I find them.

• Went back to FrontPage (I know - but I don't like coding html anymore) for quick and easy web page publishing after trying several others. Working on getting all the others meta stuff, etc. removed.

11/16/02

• Added boating section.

• General maintenance and some changes in the page layout partially implemented.

Summer 2002

• Lost EVERYTHING due to major disk crash after installing Windows XP on my multiboot computer (I have several Linux distributions installed on my hard drive and switch between them using System Commander). My full backup set (Win 98) on CD-RW's was unusable for some reason and I could not recover anything. I was able to retrieve my web pages from Comcast so I do have these backed up but I lost many, many hours of scanned and retouched images. I now do not use CD-RW's for any critical backups. Lesson learned - backup often to reliable media and check to make sure the data is retrievable.
