Another image that I find enjoyable. I like the one gull flying at the center of the image but I probably would crop out the rightmost piling since it is only partially in the frame. A polarizer would probably have made the sky a little more dramatic.

Nice lens. You can make out some of the gulls feathers on the actual 2800 dpi scan. The grain in the wood is also easy to see in a larger image.

This reminds me of an old captain's advice that you should never look up with your mouth agape in awe as you pass under a mighty bridge. Those words of wisdom applied equally well around these pilings.
