Phonograph are a three piece indie pop rock band, that recently changed their name from Stanton.
Formed a little over 12 months ago by:
Ben Hassell [guitar|vocals]
Matt Edge [bass|backing vocals]
Jesse Porter [drums|backing vocals|stylish hairstyle]
Phonograph were formed from the ashes of various local bands, when they discovered a mutual love and passion for the same kind of music.
They locked themselves away in a studio recording their initial single “Black & Blue” while playing the occassional gig to keep the live feel in their music.
With the single release in June approaching, keep an eye out for them playing around and building their reputation. Already they are receiving a lot of industry attention. Live this band are a pleasant surprise with hooks and melodies combining over Ben’s wonderfully different voice. Be pleasantly surprised.
