New Single & Diary Update From Rich...

As you can see, there's not been an news update for quite some time now. Don't know how? Don't know why? Now that's out of the way. A few things to report on. The boys are well into their UK tour now and are enjoying it very much. Here's what Rich had to say in his diary update the other day...

Hull ain't a bad place to be!

So I'm sitting here in the hotel room in Exeter thinking should I go back to bed or should I get out 'n' about for a bit? It's 20 to 1 and I think I'm gonna go get some shut eye. Twas a long nite and a long drive, 1st nite off since Belfast so there was a few drinks drank and then somemore just in case! the first leg of the tour has been really good, thanks for turning out in your thousands and making our nite every night!

Dublin was a nerve wrecking gig for me, thought my gear had blown on stage but it was my mistake...schoolboy error, while in 'Madame Helga' I struck a chord and my hand hit the volume knob on the bass and nearly turned the thing off completely, lucky for me it didn't. Still my head was in bits cause I couldn't hear myself over the music and the crowd.....took me 2 songs to figure out what the problem was, nearly gave Stilly a heart attack. Don't want that to happen ever again, it was murder to get the stains of the trousers...

So for me that was my 1, everyone has 1 on every tour so hopefully that was it for me....every other gig has been brilliant, Belfast, Newcastle, Sheffield, Hull..You lot have been brilliant and we're looking forward to the rest of the tour. Keep you posted on how the others go.

Take it easy

In other news. Stereophonics released the 3rd single 'Since I Told You It's Over' from their latest album this week. Tomorrow will either see it lump or thump the charts. Tell us what you think of the release of the new single over at the
POLL section now.
For those who havn't heard also, there was a mix-up apparently with the DVD for the new single, to see the full report and details,

This week's
CD OF THE WEEK comes from The Beatles. Have a quick laugh, no, it's not a completely new album no, as if...Paul McCartney has stripped the album of Phil Spector's production from the original 'Let It Be' album which Paul consequently didn't like, but was out-voted to what went on the album. Now he's got his revenge and has dropped and added a few songs, The artwork for the album is apposite, check it out now!!!

Single Charting and V2 News...

Well, the new single only went in at #16 this week due to maybe a lack of promotion maybe, or just the fact that it's the 3rd single from the album.

In other news, in a recent email from V2, they're asking for volunteers to offer their services to review albums, singles, gigs downloads and more. Here's what they said:

"Hi

V2 Music are in search of fans that would like to be involved and give feedback and input regarding Stereophonics releases.

If you want to be involved
click here, and then over the next few weeks we'll be in touch to get your input concerning formats, tracks, downloads and more. We are looking for really involved input from around 50 people from all over the country, so let us know in your email where you are from and why you'd like to be involved.

Looking forward to hearing from you and we'll be in touch very soon

Cheers

from

The Stereophonics Team @ V2 Music
