| Dear Ana, I love this woman, but I made a mistake by telling her too soon, so we've avoided the subject. I still love her, but this guy that I work with loves her, too, and has been making advances on her. His work greatly benefits hers, and I just feel useless and jealolus. How do I get her to notice me again, and how do I win her heart? Signed, Too Nerdy To Figure This Out On My Own Dear Too Nerdy, Well, don't you feel like an idiot? You fell victim to one of the most classic blunders. The most famous is "Never get involved in a land war in Risa" but, only slightly less known is this: Never tell someone you love them if they haven't given you signs that they feel the same way. Silly, silly Too Nerdy. Well, it's obviously too late now. He's useful to her and you're not. He didn't say the L-word too quickly and you did. He's going to be happy and get the woman and you're going to be miserable and alone forever. Hope that works out for you! Signed, Ana To write Agony Aunt Ana, drop a line to [email protected] |
