| Sic and her twin brother Ev were born in Ferris City, Catalan. She had been born blind, but this did little to daunt her from living life as she saw fit. However, when she turned 16, Ev became very ill and Sic's parents informed her Ev would not live much longer. For the first time in her life, Sic wished she could see, just to once see Ev before he died. On the night that Ev lay dying, Sic wished aloud that she could have seen her brother's face just once. As she wished these words, a mysterious voice informed Sic that her wish would be granted at a price. To Sic's amazement, she saw her brother's smiling face just before he died. To her horror, however, she realized that while she could see, she could no longer speak. Fearing her parents would accuse her of lying, she fled her home and boarded a ferry to the mainland. On her way to see her uncle in Alaveria, she was caught up in Shaldani and saw the Ebene attack a village. Trapped beneath the ruins of a house, she waited until some Phoenix Fighters found her and rescued her, informing her that her brother's friend Jake was looking for her. Using slate and charcoal to communicate, Sic agreed to stay and help their cause. Her only skill is the ability to see people's auras, which she considers very useless, but she is slowly discovering that various colors represent different personalities. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
