The Fashion Network Mission Statement

The Fashion Network at Phoenix College is designed for students to be able to gain personal knowledge and experience necessary in the fashion industry. Whether you are a student currently working in the industry, trying to make connects or simply like clothes and want to help out, this club will help you gain knowledge in the production of fashion shows, through guest speakers, fashion feild trips to nationwide fashion cities and also through making connections with other students / faculty.

The Fashion Network Requirement For Membership

The Fashion Network does not discriminate on the bases of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, Vietnam-era veteran status, and sexual orientation in application, admission, participation, access and treatment of persons in instructional or employment programs and activities. Students, who wish to be a member of the Fashion Network, must be a current student at Phoenix College, carrying a minimum of 3 credit hours.

Officers for the Fashion Network and Their Qualifications

We will have elections every semester, the postions of officers and their qualifications are:

President- The president must represent the Fashion Network to college faculty, college staff, media, and all other parties the organization deals with. The president must pick a representative of the Fashion Network to attend the bi-monthly Student Forum meetings. The president must lead meetings and keep them on task.

Vice-President- The vice-president must be able to take on all the president's responsibilities in the event of their absence.

Treasurer- The treasurer must keep track of all Fashion Net money, including, but not limited to bank accounts, fundraisers, and donations. The treasurer must provide a report of current financial standing at the first meeting of each month and at the request of any officer. All spending must adhere to the financial procedures that are developed and maintained by the executive council.

Secretary- The secretary must record meeting minutes and provide a copy of those minutes for the historian to archive. The secretary must create flyers, notifications, and correspondents unless otherwise delegated by the president. The secretary must create and maintain a record of all members (past and present) and their contact information, if provided by the member. The secretary must not give personal information of any member, including, but no limited to: address, phone number, e- mail address or age to any party other than Fashion Network officers for Fashion Network purposes.

Historian- The historian must create and keep an accurate record of all Fashion Network activities through pictures, video, and archive of all documents including, but not limited to: Fashion Network member attendance, Fashion Network meeting minutes, Fashion Network correspondences, and Fashion Network financial standing reports.
