Rules of Magic

These are the well-known laws about magic in Sendia. There are more that will be added as the party discovers them.

Rule 1: All magic, intrinsically, is put upon Sendia through the Gods - no matter the type of magic.

Rule 2: Divine magic is granted to mortals from Gods/Goddesses who find them worthy. Normally, this is the deity they worship, but this is not always the case.

Rule 3: All arcane magic is pulled from the Weave. The Weave is set up and maintained by Mystra, and therefore she is the one from which arcane magic was created.

Rule 4: Ki is simply self-focused divine magic, it is granted and can be taken away just like normal magic.

Rule 5: Nature magic is seperate from divine magic, druids and rangers can harness both nature magic and divine magic based on their ties to a particular diety. Shamans only harness nature magic, clerics only harness divine magic.

Rule 6: Gods have been known to perform miracles in Sendia to those who are known as "believers". Those with strong ties to their patron diety have been known to have been granted magical powers as well.

Rule 7: Magic has been known to been taken away as quickly as it has been given, if incurring the wrath of deities.
