This is it: The Final Confrontation. CLoud and his companions fly to the North Cave. They climb down into the bowels of the Planet. After passing through some tough terrian and several puzzling mazes, the party reaches a fork in the path. They split into two groups. One takes the right fork, and the other takes the left. The right path is easy. The left path forks again. Both paths have their share of enemies and items. Finally, both groups re-unite at the bottom of the North Cave. Cloud and two others continue deeper, into the core of the Planet. They have to fight Dragons and such on their way down. Each of these creatures could be bosses in their own right, and the battles are hard. Finally, the trio reaches a platform. It is there that Jenova awaits. The party must defeat her in order to reach Sephiroth. Jenova is no pushover. She consists of five parts: two parts arms, and three parts torso. After the fight with Jenova, the party is dropped even deeper into the Planet's heart. There is a strange pulsating glow in the background. Sephiroth is there. The eight split into groups, depending on how the fight with Jenova went. Then, the assault on Sephiroth begins. Sephiroth will only die if you destroy the torso. There are five parts to him: Head, Torso, Core, Left Magic and Right Magic. Once the torso is destroyed, the party with Cloud moves on to the FINAL BATTLE. Sephiroth appears in the form of a one-winged angel. He has a POWERFUL (and I mean POWERFUL) summon spell. This Sephiroth is tough, but not as tough as the previous form. Overcome him, and the Planet may be able to use Holy to save itself. After defeating Sephiroth, the team high-tails it back to the Cave. The situation is grim. There is no way they can climb all the way back up in time. The earth begins to quake, and Cloud and Tifa are almost lost. Cloud slips into a wormhole where he is taken to Sephiroth. The two face off. This is the true battle. Cloud easily overcomes him, and returns. He and Tifa almost fall into a pool of Lifestream. Cloud grabs a hold of her, and pulls them to safety. The rest of the crew is sitting on a cliff across the cavern from them. Suddenly, the Highwind plummets down and rescues the group. They fly out as Holy and Lifestream gush out of the Crater. Meteor is about to land! Meteor is headed straight for Midgar. Holy seems to be drawing Meteor, not pushing it away! Suddenly, something miraculous happens. Aeris's face looms in the hopelessness of the situation, she looks up. Then...The Lifestream of the Planet comes to Holy's aid. Meteor is destroyed! The Planet is saved! 500 years later... Red XIII and his progeny are running across a desert valley. They stop on a cliff, overlooking the ruins of Midgar. Midgar is covered in plants and flowers now. "Don't see many flowers around here..." "Would you like to buy one? They're only a Gil..." |
