Odin
Phoenix
The semi--GF Odin can be found in his lair in the Centra Ruins. Odin will not attack the party, so just pummel him with magic and physical attacks.
After defeating him, Odin will appear time to time and help the party out. Odin appears at the beginning of a battle. His attack, Zantesuken, slices an enemy in half, causing instant death.
After using the Phoenix Pinon, the Phoenix will come and aid the party in battle. After the first time, she will appear randomly. She revives any knocked out party members and does decent damage to the enemy. She usually appears only when the party is in desperate situations.
Bako the Chocobo
Gilgamesh
Once you have solved a puzzle in one of the Chocobo Forests, you can use Gyshal Greens to lure Bako into coming to your aid and attacking your enemies.
At the end of Disc Three, if you have Odin, he will appear. Seifer returns his Zantesuken on him, and Odin is no more. Later in the battle, Gilgamesh will appear and make short work of Seifer. From then on, Gilgamesh will show up at any point in any battle, randomly. He has four attacks:
Zantesuken: Cuts all enemies in half, resulting in death.
Masamune:Extremely strong attack against all enemies.
Excaliber: Strong attack against all enemies.
Excalipoor: Causes 1 point of damage to each enemy.
MiniMog
MiniMog is more of a GF ability than a GF. Using this ability, you can call a MiniMog into battle on your side. The MiniMog will do a dance that restores all your GFs hit points. But, this costs you Gil...
Moomba
Use the Friendship Item in battle, and a Moomba will appear to aid the party.
