Below is one of the first problems I recieved
from DeJon Parnell.
Here is what my solution was (even though I forgot about the flying dragons
and what not)
To start out, you take a few seconds to cast reraise (auto-life) on the three
of you
- just in case...you know. You try to 'negotiate' with them, a spell like ability
that convinces them to wait - in this case quietly. It works, to your surprise,
the spell has a moderately low success% - so you're not used to it working.
But after a minute or so, they're at it again.
A near by soldier hears you and proceeds to your location to investigate. At
this point in time,
your knight and archer are quite. When the soldier gets close enough, the archer
releases a bow,
hard, into the soldier's helmet - knocking him unconscious.
You pull him into where ever it is you are hiding and debate about who should
disguise themselves
as the soldier with your newly acquired 'soldier's get-up'. You decide that
since a white mage
would have not much skill in hand-to-hand combat, should the moment arise where
it is needed,
you decided to disguise your archer in the get-up and claim to have a found
an intruder - your knight.
The archer, whose bow and arrows will be held by the 'captive' knight, walks
up hesitantly to
the first wave of draegoid soldiers and tries his story of the 'intruding knight'.
With a long silence following the story, the draegoid soldier looks the 'archer'
up and down
before saying, "Aren't you Lisa's cousin?"
The 'archer' releases a sigh and says the soldier has him confused with someone
else.
The soldier persists and says he's sure he's seen you before, but you say that
unlikely.
He lets you through and you proceed pass the other waves of soldiers and enter
the 'stronghold'.
When you enter, you communicate - somehow - to the white mage that is still
where you guys
were hiding with the unconscious soldier.
As the archer and the knight proceed to look through the stronghold for whatever
it was you needed,
the soldier outside remembers the archer from a nearby town - the two bumped
into each other
and shared a glance rather than an apology.
The soldier storms into the stronghold, announcing loudly that there are intruders
siguised as a
draegoid soldier escorting a 'captive' knight. As his voice echoes through the
stronghold,
the archer and knight hear it. the archer dumps the get-up and takes his bow
and arrow and
with the knight, fight off several soldiers trying to attck them.
They communicate to you, somehow, and you - with a surge of emotion (trance),
run head-on
into the several waves of draegoid soldiers preparing to cast several spells
on your ass.
You get nicked by a couple of them, but due to your (trance), you continue to
run into the heart
of them until you are finally frozen solid in an ice formation (Blizzaga).
The soldiers gather around to make sure you are dead, but due to your reraise,
you break from the ice, sending ice-daggers flying into several near-by soldiers.
Still with your (trance), you begin to emit an intense light, and despite the
soldiers'
attempts to quickly cast spells on you, you unleash a Holy spell before anyone
can lay
so much as a finger on you.
Due to your (trance), the Holy spell was several times stranger and wider (effect
area) than normal.
Your spell completely oblitorated the draegoid soldiers, and a larger portion
of their stronghold,
but luckily, the archer and knight saw you from the 'roof top' and fled before
your spell reached them.
And That's That.
