Sithren are the creation of a a black dragon known as Corgenell that has recently acended to near godhood. While playing with rare and unknown arcane spells he inadvertantly targeted a simple dragonfly. Upon contact with the strange magic the dragonfly went through a painfull evolution as it slowly mutated in mind and body. By reapeating the spell Corgenell has created several hives of the creatures and enjoys creating them as slaves who do basically whatever he tells them to do.
Sithren look more or less humanoid in that they stand on two feet are about five feet tall, and can somewhat comunicate with other creatures but retain rather large insectoid wings and the facial features of an insect. This typically makes them not well accepted in civilized society.
Sithren's speak their own dialect called sithren, a mixture of clicks and whirs difficult, though not imposible, for a humanoid creature to learn.
Combat
Sithren are slow to anger and will not typically attack unprovoked but once they are they tend to run to the nearest hive, bringing back with them as many of their bretheren as they think the threat would take. In combat they use their razor sharp talon like legs to stab and slash at their foes.
Skills: From birth Sithren blend in with the color of the swamps they call home and thus in any swampy areas they recieve a +2 to all hide checks.
