Shadow Knight


Shadow Knights are warriors that have mastered the use of the shadows in order to increase their fighting prowess. Striking from the darkness and confusing their foes.

Fighters, Rogues, and ocasionally Druids and Barbarians are all included in this class, though the more stealthy Rogues are the most common. Normaly showing up in isolated swamplands or tribal areas where mastery over the shadows and dark arts seems to be more common they can even be found occasionally leading a local theives guild in a large city. To be brief, they can be found just about anywhere if one knows where to look.

Shadow knights are not nessisarily evil and in the case of isolated areas and tribes of lesser humanoids they usually rise to the top in little or no time and end up running the tribe. Many may take on aprentices and teach the arts in secretive guilds so that the talent may not die with them.

Requirements
To become a Shadow Knight one must fulfill the following criteria.
Base Attack Bonus: +4
Feats: Blind-Fight
Move Silent: 5 Ranks
Hide: 8 Ranks

Class Skills
The Shadow Knights class skills (and ability mod for them) are Bluff (Cha), Concentration (Con), Disguise (Cha), Escape Artist (Dex), Forgery (Int), Gather Information (Cha), Hide (Dex), Knowledge (Int), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Open Lock (Dex), Pick Pocket (Dex), Search (Int), Sense Motive (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), Spot (Wis), Tumble (Dex), Use Rope (Dex)

Skill Points Each Level: 4 + Int Modifier.

Class Features
All of the following are calss features of the Shadow Knight Prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Shadow Knight needs to be well trained in many weapons to be an effective warrior. Shadow Knights are proficient with all simple and martial weapons. Shadow Knights are proficient with medium armor and all shields. Armor check penalties still apply where applicable.

Deeper Darkness - Starting at level one a Shadow Knight has the natural ability to use Deeper Darkness as par the spell once per day. At third level this power is usable twice per day, at sixth three times per day and finaly four times per day at nineth level.

Safe Poison Use - Starting at level 3 a Shadow Knight is well vested in the use of poisons and never risk accidently poisoning themselves when applying poison to their weapon.

Basic Fear - Starting at level 6 a Shadow Knight can send fear down it's enemies spine by manipulating the shadows around them, Shadow Knighs can create an illusion of his choice to attempt to scare off it's would be enemies. Will Saves (DC: 10 + Shadow Knights Levels).

Shadow Blade - Starting at level 2 a Shadow Knight can encant it's blade with shadow like properties giving it a +1 comulative bonus every 2 levels after the second. Upon reaching level 10 Shadow Knight the blade becomes enhanced by +5 and becomes a Vaporal Weapon for the duration of the effect. This effect lasts 1 round per Shadow Knight Level.

Spells - At level one a Shadow knight can cast a few various spells. To cast the spell a Shadow Knight must have a charisma score of at least 10 + the spells level, so a Shadow Knight with a charisma of 10 or lower cannot cast spells. Saves for a Shadow Knights spells are 10 + Spell Level + charisma modifier. When given zero spells of any level the Shadow Knight gets only bonus spells. Shadow Knighs cast and prepare spells like a Sorceror.

4th Level - Modify Memory, Poison, Freedom of Movement, Improved Invisibility
