Kylus resemble large crystaline panthers. Actually animated ice they are often found in the elemental plane of ice or occasionally wandering in the arctic areas of the material plane. They never speak and they never age, though they do understand auran and aquan. Pretaters by nature they often hunt and kill anything warm or strip it and expose it to their own frozen habitats to die of exposure.
Combat
Kylus start combat by dropping on thier opponents from above attempting to inflict as much damage as they can on their intended targets. They then end combat as quickly as possible by fireing off thier massively damageing breath attack which functions as a maximized cone of cold.
Maximized Cone of Cold- 90 Cold Damage (Reflex to Halve DC: 30)
Drop- Kylus usually attempt to "fall on" their prey from ledges far above the intruders. Targets take 2D6 damage for each 10 ft. the Kylus falls while the Kylus takes 1/2 1D6 damage for every 10 ft. it falls due to the target breaking it's fall.
Ice Walk- A Kylus may travel at normal speed on any icy surface, ignoring movement penalties that would normally apply on ice. Anywhere lacking ice or snow it may only move at half it's speed.
Never Melt Ice - Defeating a Kylus melts all but a single crystal of it's body. Widely known as "never melt ice" this crystal is actually a gemstone that radiates cold. Not overly useful other than keeping drinks cool it sells for around 200 gold in the open market.
