When the mages that had created the Alixthis descovered how fast they were spreading they decided to create yet another crature to control their earlier creations. By taking some common stirges and wasps they craeted another race by forcing magic into them. The result is what is known today as the Avorax. All went well until the creatures excaped and started feeding on more than just the Alixthis.
Combat
Avorax are extremely violent in nature and attack anything that gets too close to their nests by stinging and biting until the intruder is either dead or a good distance from the nest. Since they are carnivorous they will chase down any creatures they can get and drag it back to their nests piece by piece. Many a good horse has been lost to an Avorax nest.
Sting-An Avorax sting is potently poisonous and could result in helplessness and if draged off to a nest probably death. Fort Save (DC 12). Initial Damage 1D4 temp. Str loss. Secondary damage 2D4 temp. Str loss.
