I loved you on your darkest day
and saw the dragons you had to slay,
the beasts that came to gnaw at your soul,
bleed you to death, burn your bones to coal
The white of their teeth the only light in the dark,
ripping your skin, leaving bare flesh as their mark
You screamed while you were going insane
from their cruelty, their passion to cause you pain
But all your screaming cheered them on,
the more you squealed the more power they won,
from dragons and beasts they grew into more,
demons and killers to nest in your core,
the evil within you manifested in them,
you're unable to murder, but they can
Their first victim is chosen, their eye is set on you
and in that moment you knew there's nothing more to do
I saw you debating the thought in your head
and loved you most the minute you dropped dead
