ovation
A stillness came over me as I watched the sun fall behind the nearby forest.

Spattered - then streaked - clouds caught the final light in a prismatic display; purple and orange shadows danced among the twilight hours.

Watching quietly in blatant voyeurism, the moon smiled on the splendid display, then rose in stellar ovation for the performance.

Beautiful balance: clamoring devotee rising as the final curtain call brought down the house lights and ended the last act of the play.
