Finally both the Devi stop. Kaffa turns around and flies off chirping quietly and Ionos lands beside you, pressing his large wings to his sides he moves slowly through the thick underbrush and you try your best to follow him. He comes to an abrupt stop. You feel he is sensing danger but instead he pushes away some dead leaves in front of him. Looking over his for you notice a slight glow. He motions you to come and you carefully move over beside him.
-These are the eggs, they're a fire and water eggs that have already hatched- he smiles widely.
You nod noticing the difference in colour and guess which is which. They glow slightly because of the shafts of light coming through the trees and hitting their glassy surfaces. Ionos looks around as if he expects something to happen, then it hits you. The hatchlings! If the eggs have hatched where are the hatchlings?
Something moves in the bushes and two tiny figures emerge - Devi hatchlings! The two of them follow Kaffa to the hatching site who leads them to Ionos. You look over to Ionos and you swear he looks like he's smiling! Ionos notices you staring then stutters.
-I like looking after hatchlings.- you'd never seen a Devi blush like he was now, - Anywy, these two are Onna and Yori, the new members of this 'family'-
The two hatchling stumble about tackling one another. Kaffa chirps and they follow her back out.
