From Nurse Jones,
To Fred and all the others I offended. You're absolutely right.
I'm sorry. I apologize abjectly and volunteer for e-exorcism of the
devil that made me do it.
(Image of ALL of the regulars, in a candle-lit cave, dressed in brown
wool monk habits, standing in a circle around me, suitably unatired,
on a stone altar. Incantations. Arcane hand gestures. Chanting.
More incantations. Elf demonstrates his collection of rude Italian
hand gestures. Suddenly, I am cured. It was the Italian hand gestures
that did it.)

Of course men are just as complex as women. It's probably just that
men are more opaque to me than women, so I don't see the complexity.

Come to think of it, the scratch-n-burp rednecks from My Home Town thought
all women were the same because they couldn't see complexity in anything
except a tractor engine. I guess I put myself in the same box with them...?

You may have noticed I'm back. I had an awful day. My hard drive crashed
and I lost massive quantities of posts I had been saving to answer. My
mailbox overflowed because I couldn't log on and download the mail, so
I lost almost everything! Backorders for the List, a LOVELY letter from
the Bottiers and now I don't even have their address, two very nice
letters from Michael, and oh, my heart breaks!
This really cute guy that works where my hubby does fixed it in a
jiffy, but I think I distracted him a little, sitting on the arm of his
chair like that. So while it was down, I logged on through another
computer and sent out a panicked note and tried to rescue my overflowing
box (mail, mail). I have a post, though. Almost everything was letters
begging for The List, part 13 to n=n+1 (I'm learning to write programs
in basic so I can talk to you guys) but we're still working our way through
Column Two. I need to contact Kayvan? Kelvin? The hypnotherapist. I lost
his address, too. Or Column Two will be at a roadblock.
Those of you that want to keep a record of the continuing saga
of Nurse Jones will have to save my posts rather than look for "The List"
as a subject heading, because my life has caught up with my writing, or
vice versa, and the two won't be separate any more.
Jay and I are in the middle of an experiment. All will be revealed.
Nurse Jones, e-life and real-life no longer separate.
The List n=n+1 coming next to a monitor near you.
