PROUD

The following are the words of Proud by Heather Small, the lead track in her album Proud and also featured on the first US queer as folk album.  As someone who is only in the first few months of my finally coming out, after 35 years since puberty (I'm 47 now), this has really become my personal anthem.  I really do feel my soul ascending and a complete new freedom and relaxation within my being that I have never felt before.
