Face of an Angel

I have gazed on the face of an angel
And my soul is trapped by desire
Longing to be in the presence of that beauty
To be lit by the radiant fire

A fleeting glance at the face of an angel
And my heart has been moved so
But life wrenched me back into the darkness
Until to my love I go

I will never forget the face of an angel
And searching I will roam
And I will see again my angel
And then I will be home
