And so it ends. With the above obituary, a 43 year old crime finally ends.

This web page is about a despicable crime committed on that August night in 1957 and the investigation and events that followed.

It is dedicated to the Minneapolis Police Department and to law enforcement officers everywhere, that put their lives on the line to protect us daily.

My dad, Raymond A. Wagner, was a Minneapolis Policeman from 1951 to 1968 when illness forced his retirement. The news clippings that comprise the bulk of this chronicle were collected by him. He passed away in 1987.
