Mr.
Hi, I'm Phil, a Postmaster in South Wales. When I'm not working I enjoy walking, fishing and scuba diving.
Entry for August 21, 2007

Last night's dive meeting went well.  I counted thirty people and there were prospective members present.  Our marketing ploy is working very well and funds are good.  The diving season has been very successful.  This weekend should be good.  The weather is predicted to be fine with light winds and due to the bank holiday there should be lots of people down west.  It's not beyond the bounds of possibility that we may make the Smalls.

I've been in the PO all day.  This morning went very quickly; I seemed to be busy from the off and did a variety of transactions including traveller's cheques and fishing licences.  It was almost 12-00 by the time I managed to look up and I wondered if I would find time for lunch, but almost predictably, it died off around 12-30 allowing me to complete lawrence's letters in time for the noon post and finish the Argos specials.  The afternoon dragged.  I read the Independent, then plugged in the laptop and watched some holiday discs.  Sandra arrived about 3-30 to fill the greetings cards.

After work we walked the dog around the field.  It has been a really nice day and this evening it was fine enough to change into shorts and t shirt.  I'm tired; probably because my knee has been painful and its been keeping me awake.  I intend having an early night.  Tomorrow I'm not going into work until 2-00pm and the afternoon will be spent preparing for the week -end.
