A fine day. We got up around 06-15, intending to walk across the fields to Pontyclun. However we bumped into Rod and started chatting, then Graham appeared. So, that was that and we started chatting. First it was the football and then the weather and then the holidays. we were back home and the conversation was still hot. We're as bad as a threesome of old women, but it passes the time. Back home, Sandra was ready for a walk to the beach. I had a slice of toast and some tea then we set of. The weather was fine, but a bit breezy. At Newton the tide was almost at the top of the beach so we walked through the dunes. The affects of the storms were obvious; there was rubbish everywhere; gas bottles, loads of plastic and enough wood for a big bonfire. Everything seems to get washed up here.
We only walked to the shingle. My knee was hurting so we turned back. I think Suki had had enough. She was walking slowly. We got home at 10-30. I finished my piece for the diary and for the Observer and started typing. At 12-15 I went to relieve Lynda for lunch. She'd got herself into a tangle with a holiday cash card and was declaring a cash surplus. I couldn't help. Later in the afternoon I went back home and finished my pieces and transmitted. Back at the shop I watched the counter whilst Lynda sorted her problem with the helpdesk.
In the evening we watched some telly and I started on the minutes for the diving club. The forecast for the weekend isn't good but I hope to get some diving in. Fingers crossed.
