Will it ever stop raining? Or have I said this before? Yesterday morning we didn't manage a walk. The rain was lashing down so Sandra walked Suki later in the morning. I wrote my diary article and posted it to Mike. The subject, Valleywood, came just at the right time. I was interviewed on telly and gave my opinion; I think if it happens, and it's a mighty big if, Llanharan is bound to benefit. With Lynda being back from holiday, my day became easier and I concentrated on my writing. Later, we went over the road for a meal. The food wasn't bad and a price of £49.00 for the four of us including drinks was reasonable. Lynda confirmed that she will work on a monday, which should allow me to spend more time on my modules. I can't wait for the new academic year to start. I feel in need of an injection of academia if there is such a word. I really feel that my work is improving; I'm able to criticise what I do and am rarely satisfied when re-reading. My weakness is in critique and this is what I intend to concentrate on over the next year. I can identify weak prose, but have difficulty with correction. Probably this will come with experience. I have no problem these days with quantity and can dash off 500+ words without difficulty. I think a book is a long way off yet!!
Today, we were planning on attending the Vale show, but as I look out of my window, the rain is falling and the sky is grey. We've changed our minds and intend a walk around Cardiff instead.
