Entry for August 1, 2007
Well, it looks as though Summer could be here at last. I woke around -5-30 and was walking by -5-50. The sun was up there was no wind and there was just enough heat to make it pleasant. We walked across the fields to Pontyclun and then down the Ely river, returning via the Clun path. The grass was wet, but the horses have kept it short so I managed to keep my feet dry. After a hurried shower and breakfast we went shopping. Tesco's was quietish and we were done and through within 20 minutes. I went to Llanharan and made a start on the Diary deliveries. By this time the temperature was 18C; quite pleasant but as the morning went on it got warmer and by the time I decided to call it a day - 12-30, I was sweating hard. At home, I showered and made myself a sandwich. I'd been listening to the news all morning so I tried to get a bit of kip but there was lots of noise and then Sandra came in from the hairdressers. So I went to work. The girls had finished the postage on Trac envelopes and got everything away. We were busy on vehicle licensing up to balance time. I had a pint in the High Corner and headed for home. I'll try to finish the Diary deliveries tomorrow, but if it gets too hot again I may leave a few to do on Friday morning. Tonight I'm going to relax, watch a bit of telly and then go to bed early.
