Mr.
Hi, I'm Phil, a Postmaster in South Wales. When I'm not working I enjoy walking, fishing and scuba diving.
Entry for July 29, 2007

This is my only entry for a couple of days.  There hasn't been a lot to report; the weather's seen to that.  Heavy rain and grey skies have meant a quick dash from the house to the car to the shop and then a reverse.  With diving on the cards for Sunday I was praying for some improvement.  The forecast on Saturday was diabolical; 40 mils of rain to come overnight and a run off for the morning.  I did  a quick ring around; the consensus was to knock the day on the head.  The rain started in earnest but filtered out before I went to bed.  I got up Sunday morning to bright sky, no wind and no rain.  I was gutted,  The news broadcast confirmed that the heavy downpours as predicted had not happened.  Well, no good crying over spilled milk.  I made the best of the day by going fishing and had a reasonable day even though the peg I chose was one i hadn't fished before.  I didn't come any in the prizes though and that's with a 19lb carp.  Tonight's turned out spectacular with no wind, bright sunshine and a chance to sit out in the garden.  I'll face some flack tomorrow re- the diving; but what can you do only follow the last forecast?
