Mr.
Hi, I'm Phil, a Postmaster in South Wales. When I'm not working I enjoy walking, fishing and scuba diving.
Entry for July 17, 2007

Another busy day.  Our walk was interrupted with a heavy shower.  We tried to shelter but it was coming down too hard and was obviously in for the morning, so reluctantly we decided to make the best of things and head back home.  The poor dog was sopping wet through.  I dried her with a towel and then concentrated on myself.  I was soaked.  My waistcoat went into the airing cupboard, my trakkie bottoms I slung over the banister and my tee shirt went straight into the wash basket.  My feet were dry thanks to my new boots; they were a really good buy; I thought I'd paid too much, £70, but they're really comfy and waterproof; well, almost!!

It was busy in the Post Office; I don't know where all the customers are coming from but, I'm not complaining.  It was 11-00 by the time I looked up.  I needed to go to have a new battery fitted to my dive computer, so I combined this with a trip to get some envelopes for the passports from Cowbridge.  Well, that took up the rest of the morning.  Lynda went to lunch, I read a paper.  The afternoon was quieter.  We managed to lock up on time and I walked the dog.  No rain; we enjoyed a pleasant stroll around the fields and back past the cemetery.  There was nothing on telly so I did an article for the Dive club web and then the blog.  Tomorrow's my birthday though I doubt anyone will remember.  I'll sing happy birthday to myself and take Suki for an extra long walk, then maybe go fishing for the morning.
