Couldn't have had a worst start to any day. I woke around 04-30; it was absolutely lashing down with rain. I tried to get back to sleep but the noise of the down pour was too much. I got up at 05-30 and washed up from last night. A shower, some tea and toast and I got my kit ready. Max arrived at 06-45; we had a slow journey west. The rain stopped just after Bridgend;there was no wind; if it keeps up like this it'll be perfect for diving; so much for weather forecasts. We arrived at WWD just before 09-00; the crew were assembled; there would be ten of us, so we needed to use two boats. The logistics were difficult but we were on the water before 11-00 and heading towards Skomer. I assisted Richie with the two female trainees. The one with me had some difficulty on descent, but afterwards, completed a very successful dive were we saw lots of spider crab, Pollock, plaice, anemones and lots of seaweed. Later in the day I dived with Max.
We were back at WWD by 4-30, but it was around 5-30 before we headed for home. The weather had turned; it was raining really hard. Arrived home 7-30; washed my kit down and settled down to a couple of hours in front of the telly.
