12th July and the weather is still pretty awful with rain and wind almost every day.  This morning I got wet through; the dog didn't fair much better; and we only went up the lane.  Can't really see the situation improving much, though I live in hopes and look forward to a little bit of diving this weekend.  Today hasn't been anything special.  The Post Office was quiet this morning and so when Lynda came in, I disappeared to the Drop In Centre and typed my notes up from yesterday's visit to Gellideg.  Stella was around so I gave my finished effort to her for approval.  I had an extended lunch break and enjoyed a nap!!  On the return journey to Llanharan there were lots of Police activity; cars, vans, and more cars just everywhere.  Is the Summer drink drive campaign in action?  I warned Lynda, and forgo my regular two/three pints.  On the way home there was a Police helicopter hovering.  If this is a d/d campaign, it ain't half got sophisticated!!  Anyway I hadn't had anything alcoholic to drink so it didn't concern me.  When I got home, Sandra was gardening out front, so I poured a speckled hen and joined her.  She made mention of the helicopter; apparently it had been hovering most of the afternoon, so it looks as though there must have been some activity.  Tonight i intend having a relax.  I'll post this blog, have a quick surf and then disappear for a read
