Entry for June 2, 2007
Saturday, and it started warm and dry. We walked across the fields to Pontyclun. There was a bit of a mist but the ground was reasonably dry. I listened to Keith Arthur, Suki sniffed her way across the grass. We got home around 07-45, having seen not a lot, a heron in the river by Ynysduu and one or two yellow hammers. I had a nice breakfast and then went to try to get a cheque for the licences that I had done for the taxi co. The message hadn't been passed on!! Fortunately, the lady came down with a cheque book and we managed to get paid!! It was a busy morning, but I'm sussing the situation. The work has become very labour intensive; so much so that feebees that we used to enjoy doing are now a pain in the asse!! The Post Office has taken on so much low paid work as to make our job almost impossible. After 12-30, I went down to Bryncae and finished the Diary deliveries. By 3-30, I had run out of stock so I went to Morgans and collected the cash owed + two pints of Stella; Lovely!!. Tonight we've enjoyed a nice mixed grill, two pints of Spitfire in the 'Cross', and are now going for an early night. The weather tomorrow is going to be crap. Som we've decided to go and visit the fur and feather in Usk.
