Entry for May 28, 2007
What a crap weekend. Bank holiday; Saturday was windy, Sunday was very wet and very windy, and Monday was extremely windy and wet later. So, diving has been a no no!! And there was so much I wanted to do. Us older divers have to take advantage of every available moment. We can't handle bad weather situations; I suppose I'll have to wait till next weekend now!! Anyway, I had a lovely walk this morning; through Miskin Cricket Field then across the fields back to Miskin Church. There were lots of rabbits and squirrels. Suki enjoyed the walk and then a roll, for which she had to suffer a bath when she got home. After a lovely breakfast, we had a drive to the beach, and walked from Newton through to Ogmore. With the wind at our backs it was lovely. Coming back was a different proposition. The wind was howling, straight in our face;the sand was super soft making walking very difficult, and Suki went on a go slow, stopping at every lump of seaweed to sniff, and rolling in unmentionable substances. By the time we got back to the car we were all knackered. Lunch was salmon and veg, after which we relaxed on the settee and watched telly. Later, I walked Suki across the horse field and we got caught in a violent rain storm. Tonight we are relaxing with a bottle of rose wine and square eyeing yet again. I'm looking forward to next weekend. hopefully, Phil the Blade and myself will get to do the deep dive on the Lucy. I'll do my dive supervisor qualification and that's that. Tomorrow it's back to work. Busy week what with a bank holiday, the end of the month which should mean lots of vehicle licencing, and the Diaries to deliver. Roll on next weekend.
