Mr.
Hi, I'm Phil, a Postmaster in South Wales. When I'm not working I enjoy walking, fishing and scuba diving.
Entry for May 24, 2007

This has been one very busy week.  I've had meeting upon meeting, with Tuesday being my busiest day.  I'm still trying to catch up but i needed to go to see a doctor this morning.  He couldn't find the cause of my problem and so he has referred me to the hospital.  Getting older isn't easy.  I seem to spend a dis proportionate time on medical matters, and I don't seem to improve.  The weather today has been lovely with warm sunshine and little wind.  We had a short walk around the horse field first thing and then I had to go into the P.O. early to allow the computer engineer access.  Post Office business was quiet.  I bought a copy of the Independent and spent the majority of the morning scanning the pages for news.  Luckily it was quite interesting.  This afternoon I had a snooze in the chair before going back to finish off the working day.  Later we had a pleasant walk and then enjoyed a lovely salmon meal.  This evening I've been catching up on Uni news.  The grades for the writing media module are very slow coming through.  I'm chuffed to bits with my grade for I.T. for writers.  63% gives me a 2-1 Wow!!!   I went to see Robert this week at the combined studies unit, and we registered my requirements for 2007/2008.  I'm going to try three modules.  It may be too much but I'm building up.  Hopefully, my Post Office will be sorted out soon.  All this uncertainty is causing unrest not only with the customers, but with Lynda and Vicky; and I quite understand their concern.  Maybe I'll find more out at the meeting that I am trying desperately to arrange an entrance for.

This weekend I hope to go diving but the forecast isn't too good.  Never mind, if this is cancelled I can go fishing instead.
