Entry for May 9, 2007
Back to normal today, thank goodness. The weather was grey this morning, but we managed a walk across the fields. The horses had got onto the footpath between the river and the field, so we had to around and along the river bank, but we still managed to startle mum and foal. I'll bet that path is really chewed up. There's sheep and lambs in the big field but we managed to avoid them. It was wet under foot but I had my boots on and Suki managed to avoid most of the mud. We saw rabbits and squirrels. On the road before LJs we bumped into Graham Rod and the dogs, so we joined them and put the world to rights for the next twenty minutes. Later that morning, the Post Office was quiet. The sick one, Lynda, was due in at 2-00, so Vicky and I checked the stock, and put the corrections through. We served in between, and I went for lunch at 12-30. Lynda turned up later, so I had a relaxing time in front of the telly for an hour or so. Back to the P.O. at 4-00. We balanced, if that's the right phrase to use these days, and I was home for 6-00. Light meal, watched the Simpsons, and then checked out the web sites. Graham from the fishing club is picking me up at 7-30 and we're going to discuss our forthcoming trip to the Isle of Wight this weekend.
