Mr.
Hi, I'm Phil, a Postmaster in South Wales. When I'm not working I enjoy walking, fishing and scuba diving.
Entry for November 11, 2007

We went puppy hunting yesterday.  I searched on the internet for M/ schnauzers and found a breeder near Camarthen with puppies for sale.  He didn't reply to my E-Mail but I managed to contact him by phone.   I had to work on Saturday morning so it was 1-30pm before we could set off.  The journey took an hour and a half but thanks to very good directions we found the farm - Nant - without too much difficulty.  The chap said on the phone that the litter I had enquired about were sold.  However he had a pup without a pedigree - a salt and pepper bitch.  She was in with her Mum.  We had a hold and a cuddle.  She's beautiful and we had no hesitation in securing her.  Mr. Hugh Davies said that she was born on 29/09/07 and would be ready for collection in about 3 weeks.  However, when we explained that we were going on holiday in early December, he offered to keep her until 19th of December.

Today started well.  We were out and about by 07-05.  WE walked up to L/Js and then walked back via the top field.   It was too nice to go home so we diverted across the fields, down the Pant river, along the Ely and back through the woods.  The Autumn colours are lovely; I wished I'd taken my camera but I hadn't.  After breakfast I went fishing on the patch.  Conditions were good but the fish weren't interested.  Graham and David were fishing.  They weren't catching either.  I stuck it until 2-00pm and then packed up.  This time I had a camera so I took some shots of the leaves and the ferns.  Later, at home, I watched a live football match - Torquay V Yeovil.  It was a good game and Torquay won 4-1.  Tonight I'm going to have a quiet night and watch some telly.
