The
season is divided in two segments.
1. Feb 17, 2008 (Daytona 500) - July 5, 2008
(Pepsi 400).
2. July 12, 2008 (USG Sheetrock 400) - November 16, 2008
(Ford 400).
· $100 entry fee per owner, which is due the day of
the draft!
· Pay outs for each segment and overall are as follows:
1st-
$100
1st- $350
2nd- $150
3rd- $100
· The draft order is determined by putting the numbers
1-8 in a hat. The previous year’s
8th place finisher draws a number first and so on.
The drafting order is then determined by the number that each owner drew.
The draft is inverted after each round.
(i.e. 1-8, 8-1...)
· Each Owner drafts three Cars.
· Each Car can be owned by one Owner only.
· If a driver is injured, fired, or traded to another
team, remember you drafted the Car and points are being awarded to the Car and
not the driver.
· Trading Car’s between Owners is strictly
prohibited.
· The point distribution will be the same as
NASCAR’S. Bonus Points are as
follows:
· In the event that the pole position is determined by
owner points, the 5 bonus points for the pole sitter in our league will not
be awarded.
· If NASCAR issues a point penalty to any Car/Driver,
the total amount of points deducted by NASCAR will then be applied to our
league at the time of the infraction.
· If there is a protest to any of the race results
(scoring), you as an Owner have until the start of the next race file a
grievance with the Commissioner.
· An Owner may drop and add a Car from the available
list at any time. However, the
Owner will be charged twenty-five points for each transaction. The first
transaction is free (One free transaction per year).
· If an Owner drops a Car, the Owner with the least
points (8th place) has the first rights to the Car that was dropped,
then the 7th place Owner etc. Only
the 8th place Owner can pick up the dropped Car immediately.
All other Owners can put in a request to acquire the dropped Car, but
this Car cannot be added to their team until after the 72-Hour waiver period has
expired and no Owner with less points has claimed the rights to the dropped Car.
If the car is dropped within 72-Hours of a race an Owner may acquire the dropped
Car for the next race only if he confirms that no other Owners have any interest
in the dropped car.
· If an Owner makes a transaction for the already
determined pole sitter, the five bonus points will not be awarded.
· If a driver were to switch Cars in the middle of the
season the Owner whose Car the driver left has the first right to the drivers
new Car as long as the Car is not currently owned by any other Owner. If the
Owner were to choose to follow the driver to the new car he would have to make a
transaction. If his free transaction has been used the 25-point deduction would
apply. If the Car the driver moves to is already owned by an Owner that Owner
gains the right to the driver and will not be charged for a transaction.
· There are two ways to make transactions.
1. My cell phone – 612.805.4001.
2. E-mail
me - [email protected].
In
the event two Owners elect to pick up the same Car, I will determine
which Owner contacted me first. Transactions
will be accepted up until the green flag drops.
· The Commissioner must e-mail all Owners with any
transactions he wants to make. This
will verify the time of the transaction.
· Transactions will be accepted up until the green
flag drops.
· In the event a situation occurs which is not covered
in these rules and regulations, the situation will be discussed among the
"Family" and the appropriate action will be taken.
Remember, this is Fantasy NASCAR, not fantasy football.
There will be no disputes.
