| The End | ||||||||||||||||||
| By me | ||||||||||||||||||
| The day arrived far to fast All dressed in black It came at last. I never thought she'd be the first She loved her life She had the thirst. Everything seemed to have gone wrong But I sat down Heard the organ's song. The family wet from teary eyes But each one spoke And said good bye. The pastor stood to speak his part He was to calm Like he had no heart. "If there is nothing else to be said We'll close the casket And bury the dead." I knew it was then I needed to speak But my eyes were soggy And my knees were weak. But I stepped up and cleared my voice I had to speak I had no choice. This girl she was my greatest friend It is hard to think This is the end. "My friend," I said with all my might "It is sad to see You lost your fight." "We are know that things are tough But the way you died It made more roads rough." "But I'll still love you all my life You helped me out Through pain and strife." "Everyone says death is the end But they are wrong We'll meet in heaven, my dearest friend." |

| Well I have no idea what really inspired me to write this, I've never lost anyone close to me. I don't even know if a real funeral would ever play out anything like this. But I know there is somthing more to this poem, I'm just not sure what it is. | ||||||||||||||||||
