CADSVILLE PORTER

3.3 lbs. dark Bierkeller plain malt extract

3 lb. dark DME

3/4 lb. chocolate malt

1.5 oz. Northern Brewer hops  (boil)

.5 oz. Northern Brewer hops  (finish)

1 package. each Bierkeller and Amsterdam lager yeast

INITIAL GRAVITY: 1.040

ALCOHOL POTENTIAL:    5.0%

TERMINAL GRAVITY: 1.012

ALCOHOL PERCENT:   4.0%

Add the chocolate malt to one gallon of 150-degree Farhenheit water and steep for 20 minutes; strain;
Bring 2 gallons of water to a boil, and add all the malt, including the strained water; add  1-1/2 ounces of the hops, and boil for 55 minutes; add the remaining hops and boil for an additional 5 minutes.
