What Is A Shell?

A shell is what you see when you use your computer when it first boots into Windows. Its basically the desktop and taskbar. This site contains news, previews, reviews and downloads for replacements for the Windows or 'Explorer' shell.

Press ctrl-alt-del, go on! See the entry that says Explorer in the task manger, thats the Windows Shell!
