It's a pity that my first time of seeing The Titfield Thunderbolt was also the last night as I really enjoyed the show and wish I could see it again.

I really enjoyed it and thought that it was a brilliant evenings entertainment with some excellent performances and I did like the beginning of the show with the singing and Phil playing the guitar.

Of course the main reason for going was to see Phil and I loved his performance and he was really funny and I was impressed by how he played 5 characters and flitted between them and did lightening fast costume changes.

Personal favourites out of his characters were Mr Ruddock who I thought was just brilliant and I loved everything about how Phil played it from the lisp to the mannerisms and the way Mr Ruddock had to interact with Miss Coggett (Loveday Smith).

My other favourite character was Harry Crump, the young son of bus owner Vernon Crump.  He is in love with Joan Weech although for a long while she doesnt think he is suitable for her.  Harry did remind me of Don in Keep on Running in many ways.

The other character Phil played were Wilson, who was a policeman, Dan Taylor and Mrs Bottomley.  I have to say that I did find Mrs Bottomley really funny as well as Phil was really OTT.

Of the other cast members, I really enjoyed Steven Pinder, he was fantastic and seemed to be having a great time on stage and trying to make the others laugh which he did a couple of times.  Loveday Smith Ive always enjoyed watching when she worked with Phil and this was no exception as she was really great and a joy to watch.  The other two cast members were Paul Leonard and Kate OMara.

Im glad that I had the chance to see Phil in the show and I cant wait to go up to Hornchurch and see him in Curses!
